Hi, I’m Hilary!

If you're feeling overwhelmed by self-doubt or stuck in a cycle of unrelenting thoughts, you're not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it alone either.

Life often brings challenges and transitions that can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and those around us. As a therapist and the founder of HLH Therapy, I strive to offer a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where you can reconnect with your values, uncover what’s keeping you stuck, and begin moving toward the life you want.

Therapeutic Approach

I use an integrative therapeutic style rooted in:

  • Relational Therapy

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

I bring curiosity and gentleness to our work, helping you connect the dots between past experiences and current challenges. We’ll explore the strengths that have helped you survive and learn how to shift the patterns that are no longer serving you.

My Specialties

I work with adults navigating:

  • Maternal mental health including:

    • Infertility

    • IVF

    • Postpartum mental health

    • New parenthood

  • Disordered eating & body image concerns

  • Relational struggles

  • Life transitions

These experiences are often accompanied by grief, shame, or unspoken fear—and my role is to help hold those emotions with you. Together, we’ll create space for your full emotional experience while also identifying ways to grow and move forward.

Core Values

My work is centered in my values of:

  • Feminist therapy values

  • LGBTQIA+ affirming care

  • Health at Every Size® (HAES) principles

  • Social justice-oriented

  • Trauma-informed care

  • Neurodivergent affirming

  • Sex-positivity

Why I Became a Therapist

I came to this work through my own lived experience. I’ve felt the frustration of not connecting with therapists and the longing for someone who truly "gets it." That disconnect drove my desire to bridge the gap between clinical care and real, human understanding. I became a therapist because I believe healing happens not just through tools or diagnoses, but through relationships rooted in empathy and authenticity.

Outside of Therapy

When I’m not working, I’m usually hanging out with my dog, wake surfing, or drawing. Volunteering with Austin Angels—supporting youth in foster care—is also a passion of mine. Being creative, staying active, and being involved with my community connection are core to who I am. My passion for all things maternal mental health, eating disorder recovery, and trauma recovery has turned into a creative outlet on social media, both TikTok and Instagram.

Therapy is not about fixing you—it’s about helping you reconnect with your story, your values, and your sense of self. If you’re ready to feel less alone and more in tune with who you are, I’d be honored to support you on your path.
